How can my son earn money for a school trip? -

My son s foreign language club is planning a spring trip to Europe, and my son would really like to go. However, we don t have the money to send him. He is 13 years old, which I don t believe is old enough to hold a regular job (like at the grocery store) in our state (NE). What are some other ways that he could raise enough money? (He needs over $2500)________Perfect timing. He can rake leaves this fall, and shovel snow this winter. He can also put up flyers offering to help people put up and take down their Christmas decorations.________he should sell drugs until he gets enough.________LEMONADE STAND or just give him money________well, see if people will let him mow their yards!let him go, it will be the time of his life!________How bout mowing lawns, shovel driveways and sidewalks, walk dogs for people, rake leaves. IF he is mature enough, babysitting is a good way.________I made over 1700 in sixmonths doing usability work, there are companies out there that pay people to, i will say quot;be a lab ratquot; for different products or do real simple tasks or testing...for example, I did video game testing, a game developer will have this company conduct a test(play the game) and give results each time i did it, i got payed 100-200 dollars for about 3 hours maximum of time...he is 13 y.o? thats about the age sometimes they want...i am 18 so i can get the jobs more easily but maybe youcould do them and help out?! search for quot;Usability jobsquot; in your area...________if you belong to a church see if they would like to sponsor him. i am sure the school will do something to help raise funds. car washes and what not. have him go door ro door and offe to do odd jobs. and tell all your family they might want ot help him raise money________1. Mowing Lawns 2. Starting a small business 3. Asking some relatives to pitch in. 4. Do household chores 5. Help other people for money 6. Plant flowers 7. If he has a special talent like playing an instrument.....well 8. He could hold a small quot; fairquot; or entertainment center for little kids. 9. Bake sale 10. Hold a car wash Thos are some ideas________You can have him look for sponsors in the community. Our daughter went to a medical forum this summer and she hit up many clubs and businesses that have been known to donate money (Lions, Rotary, etc). Ask some of the other students if they have had to raise money. Have him do odd jobs in your neighborhood...it is lawn and raking season.________Garage sale, car wash, bake sale, mow lawns, yard work, donations. Can he watch kids??________Selling books, CDS, and DVDs, games, and game systems on Ebay and Amazon.com.________If the club is doing a trip that is this expensive, are THEY planning anything to help the students raise money? mow lawns babysit do odd jobs around the neighborhood That s a big chunk of change. Unless the club is planning fundraisers to help the kids, I don t know how to tell you to pull it off since he s not old enough for a regular job.________he can do odd jobs for people in the neighborhood. (ie. washing cars, cutting lawns, etc.)
